Who runs this site
The Fish Locker is run by John Locker, based in Falmouth, Cornwall. For anything about your data, use the contact form and choose “Something else”.
The contact and business forms
When you send a message, the site emails your name, email address, the topic you picked and the message itself to John’s inbox. That is the only copy. It is used to reply to you and for nothing else, and it is not shared with anyone. The site also keeps a short-lived count of submissions per connection to stop automated spam; it is not stored and is gone within minutes.
Videos
Video thumbnails come from YouTube. When you play a video on this site it is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, which does not set tracking cookies until you interact with the player. YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to the player.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Links to other sites
Booking goes through Bookeo and the shop is Fin Culture on Shopify. Both are separate businesses with their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave this site.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are not happy with the answer. Since the only data is the emails you have sent, a request is normally resolved by deleting those.
